Will There Be Anything For Me To Eat?

If you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-sensitive, or have any other food major food allergy, you probably ask yourself this question before registering for any conference.

At WordCamp Jacksonville we like to answer that question with a resounding,

“YES!”

Whether your dietary restrictions are by choice or necessity, we want you to enjoy camp and be well fed. But don’t take our word for it, here’s what previous campers have to say:

Snacks & Popsicles

We like to make sure our snacks are healthy enough to give you an energy boost, so you can expect fruit to be readily available. There will be vegan 💙, gluten-free ✨, and dairy-free ✨ popsicle options, provided by Guanabana.

Saturday Lunch

For omnivores, we have Sonny’s BBQ  catering our lunch again. On the menu is pulled pork and chicken breast, coleslaw, BBQ beans, macaroni & cheese, and dinner rolls. ✨For those of you that need a gluten-free option, the pulled pork is for you. If you have any concerns regarding allergies, we encourage you to review the Sonny’s BBQ allergen information. Along with the coleslaw, we will also have a few side salads for those that need gluten-free sides.

✨ If you are gluten-free and would prefer to eat the vegan 💙 meal, please notify us of your change request at jacksonville@wordcamp.org by April 1st.

For those of you that requested a vegetarian or vegan 💙 option, you’re in for a treat. Chef Ashley Amin from the Fusion food truck (and who has previously cooked for the Dalai Lama) will be making vegan, gluten-free Panang Curry.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide vegan meals to regular omnivores at this time. If you are an omnivore but would like us to consider vegan for everyone next year, please comment below.

Sunday Breakfast

Americans love their carbs for breakfast, which makes it hard if you don’t eat gluten. Along with the usual bagels and donuts, expect to find 💙 fresh fruit and some ✨ hard-boiled eggs.

After Party

We will be having a buffet lunch at Wicked Barley, and there will be options for everyone. The information below is accurate, to the best of our knowledge. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Wicked Barley directly.
