This role focuses on overall camp strategy and budget, including sponsors and tickets. It also means helping out in every aspect of the camp.
Stephanie Brinley
With a life-long passion for art and a BFA in Graphic Design, Stephanie is a web designer with an emphasis on design. Stephanie is the owner of Flightless, specializing in WordPress sites since 2008. She has been involved with the Florida WordPress community since 2014 and has been honored to share her knowledge at WordCamps Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and US. Most weeks you will find her attempting to balance web design and homeschooling, exploring the world of flavors she can invent in her kitchen, and sometimes on Twitter @sjbrinley.

WordCamp is 100% staffed by volunteers. This is the volunteer to coordinate all volunteers and keep our camp running smoothly.
Karena Kreger
With a unique combination of technical skills and a strong design eye, Karena has over a decade of experience in building her clients’ compelling, professional web presence. Karena runs Open Sky Web Studio in Jacksonville, FL, specializing in WordPress websites for small businesses and organizations since 2009. The organizer of the WPJax Meetup, Karena is a teacher at heart, striving to provide a creative and educational experience, without the scary tech talk.

Being a speaker can be stressful. Having a single person to communicate with helps a little bit with that.
Frank Corso
Frank has been working with WordPress since 2009 and is the founder of Markasio, an agency that creates digital marketing software products. He is the organizer of Gainesville’s Digital Marketing Meetup, WordPress Meetup, and PHP Meetup. In his spare time, he also teaches web development both as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and a Subject Matter Expert at IT.Pro TV.
Frank has developed many types of software including Xbox 360 games, mobile phone apps, websites, and AR apps. He loves to blog about marketing, business, and user research.
Above all else, he enjoys spending time with daughter.

Laura Phillips
Laura is the Technical Director for Marjoram Creative, a B2B Marketing Communications agency based in Atlanta. She has spent 20 years building websites with a history of expertise in UX, eCommerce and Technical Project Management. She also holds a degree in Graphic Design.
In 2015 Laura moved to Julington Creek to join her now husband and can be found performing with her family band Radio Phillips when she is not unraveling technical puzzles. You can find her on twitter at @smartaleckl
Events & Venue Coordinator
This is not a position for the faint-of-heart. Communicating with the venue and organizing our parties takes countless phone calls, emails, and a spine of steel for tough negotiations.
Jessica Fowler
Jessica has experience in marketing, copy writing, volunteer management and administration. She is currently leveraging her experience and BS in Marketing to provide project support at Open Sky Web Studio. Outside of work and managing the household, she is a serial dabbler and has rarely met a craft or hobby she didn’t enjoy.
Food & Beverage Coordinator
Food is good. We like food. We also like coffee and popsicles. Someone has to make that happen.
Gary Kovar
A Native Floridian, Gary is a happy Backend Developer at Modern Tribe. When not pushing the boundaries of enterprise WordPress, he spends his time learning and playing obscure stringed instruments, teaching his kids about home improvement, and geeking out about commercial space flight.
This is Gary’s second year as a WordCamp Jax organizer.

Daniel Iser
Daniel has been developing with WordPress for over 8 years. He developed and maintains several successful plugins including Popup Maker and Easy Modal and has a new plugin called Ahoy! which provides targeted user messaging and cart abandonment prevention.
Daniel enjoys his family, constant learning and is always trying to make something better than it was. He considers himself an entrepreneur and has been client free for nearly 4 years as a WP product developer.

Young McQueen
Young’s experience is fashioned from his education and employment in large companies in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He has worked as a Product Manager/Marketing Manager in the consumer goods industry. He has taught marketing at Jacksonville University. He has founded twelve companies—some successfully.
After retirement, he concentrates on photography and WordPress sites.

Recruiting sponsors and following up with them could be a full-time job. It’s more than one person can handle.

Alex Sanfilippo
Alex Sanfilippo uses his long term business and coaching background to help others achieve more in business and in life. Over the past 5 years Alex has been working with WordPress. Since that time he has been helping overs achieve their WordPress goals.
