Be a Volunteer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Are you ready for WordCamp Jacksonville? The weekend of <strong>May 20 &amp; 21<\/strong> is almost here. <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/tickets\/\">Tickets are now on sale<\/a>, including tickets for our first ever <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/kidscamp\/\">KidsCamp Jacksonville<\/a>! The <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/speaker-blitz-round-1\/\">first <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/speaker-blitz-round-2\/\">second <\/a>round of speakers have also been released, with more on the way. Be sure to check back for updates on <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/sessions\/\">session topics<\/a>, speaker announcement and after party details &#8211; all of which are coming soon.<\/p>\n<h3>Interested in getting more involved?<\/h3>\n<p>Lucky for you, we are still in need of some volunteers to assist with setup on <strong>Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm and throughout the course of the camp<\/strong>. We ask that our volunteers <strong>commit to at least 4 hours<\/strong>, and in exchange for your time, you\u2019ll receive a free ticket to attend WordCamp sessions and the afterparty.<\/p>\n<h3>New to WordPress? That&#8217;s OK!<\/h3>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need to be an expert to help out. All we ask is that you be reliable and friendly. Use the form on the <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/volunteer\/\">Volunteer Page<\/a> to let us know you are interested and our Volunteer Coordinator will get back in touch with you.<\/p>\n<p>Our volunteer needs range from setup and teardown to introducing speakers to providing tech support at the Happiness Bar. Don&#8217;t worry, you&#8217;ll still get to attend sessions and enjoy all that WordCamp has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>Your exact duties will be explained closer to the event \u2013 but if <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/call-for-volunteers\/\">something listed here<\/a> sounds especially interesting to you, please let us know on the <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.jacksonville.wordcamp.org\/volunteer\/\">form<\/a>.
