Have you heard that we put out the call for speakers? We have had quite a few people submit their applications and we have many unique and interesting topics to choose from. However, we need more speakers to effectively run WordCamp Jacksonville.

We have decided to extend the deadline from Friday, March 17th to Friday, March 24th which gives you an additional 5 days to think about what you may want to speak about. Come speak to 200+ potential attendees and share your knowledge.

Never spoke before? Don’t worry! We want to encourage you to apply to speak even if it’s your first time and you are terrified, nervous, or both. We’ve got your back and we’ve been there! If you have a great topic that members of our WordPress community will be interested in hearing about, go ahead and apply. We have several mentors standing by who are willing to help coach you and ensure that you do great!

WordCamp Jacksonville 2017 has been set for May 20th and 21st. We are officially looking for speakers for this year’s event. What makes a WordCamp truly amazing is how anyone can come to a WordCamp and leave with a wealth of knowledge in a variety of topics. To achieve that, we are looking for people in the community to come speak at our WordCamp. Speaking at a WordCamp is a great opportunity for you to share your expertise and knowledge with the WordPress community.

It is not required for you to be a professional speaker. You are encouraged to apply even if you have never spoken at a WordCamp before. We are interested in anyone who can add value to our conference, and spaces are limited!
